At Burwood RSL Club we provide first class facilities for social functions, corporate seminars, meetings, weddings, birthdays or any other special day you wish to celebrate. Our function rooms are designed to facilitate a successful, comfortable seminar with a spacious breakout area with balcony.

The Clubs International team of highly experienced chefs is well credentialed and willing to cater to your particular requirements with an appetising menu selection.

Function Rooms:
Our 4 function rooms are designed to facilitate a successful comfortable seminar or social function. Seating available for up to 50 people per room or 200 if combined. A spacious breakout area with balcony hosts city skyline views and is the perfect area for that well deserved break!

All function rooms comprise of modern decor, with fixtures and fittings.

The Function Rooms provide:

Entertainment Dome:
The Club’s split level Entertainment Dome, accommodating 400 people is also available for hire. The Dome features a wet bar, full theatre stage with two dressing rooms, cinemascope screen, sophisticated light & sound equipment, ceiling mounted projector, 2 x 85” plasma screens, large dance floor and offers new furniture and fixtures. For those large scale functions, the Function Centre and Entertainment Dome can be combined to for one area. The combined area can cater for 600 people, which provides the Entertainment Dome facilities plus an additional bar in the function area.

Function Booking Policy

All Functions which are booked at Club Burwood RSL, 96 Shaftesbury Rd Burwood must be aware and comply with the following:

The Club opens at 9am daily. Function organisers and attendees will only be permitted into their designated function rooms from 8:30am via the main entrance on Shaftesbury Road by Club Security. Security or Club Staff will direct organisers to their function room to allow set up.

Any event which requires earlier access must be approved on booking and a list of these functions will be held by Security and the Duty Manager.

The Club's basement car park opens 9am daily. Limited outside parking is available at any time. Pre-arrangement for early access to underground parking can be made under special circumstances.

Any function promotional material or equipment that is bulky may be transferred to the groups function room via dock 2. A staff member will provide access and a trolley for transporting items via the goods lift to the relevant location. At no time is the loading dock 2 door to be kept open and the goods lift doors must not be held open or obstructed. All trolleys must be returned to Club staff and not left in foyers/car parks.

The Club exercises all care in assisting with external function material, however accepts no responsibility for damage or loss.  

All function attendees are to comply with security/staff instructions and will not be permitted into the Club trading areas until 9am when the Club opens.

No food or beverages to be brought onto Club premises.

Attendees who remain in the function room area do not require to be signed in to the Club at Reception .

Should an attendee wish to utilise other Club areas, eg. Café, Brassiere, Gaming they must sign in at Club reception in the main entry foyer prior to patronising these areas.  Club staff will assist in this process.

Function organisers can purchase club membership for $2 and sign all other attendees as guests.
