Dear Members,
Membership Renewals
For members whose membership is expiring in 2017, a renewal form is printed on the reverse of the mail address sheet. Renewal is available at the reception of each Club or as per the renewal form. Membership renewal for one year is only $2, renewal for 5 years is just $10. Should you renew by 24th December, 2017 you will receive your money back in Gold Bucks credited to your membership card.
Club Burwood
The ground floor gaming area has been renovated with a fantastic new ambience. Work included beautifully designed new carpet, extremely comfortable stools, new low profile gaming benches and new machines.
Community Support by your Club
The Club has continued the tradition to serve all Members of the Club, the Burwood community and neighbouring suburbs the best it possibly can. In addition to providing a welcoming, friendly and secure environment for citizens, particularly the elderly, subsidised amenities such as entertainment, sporting facilities, meeting rooms, function accommodation and affordable dining, the Club has contributed enormously with direct financial support.
For the 12 months ended 31st August 2017, the Club provided direct Community support to a total of 209 groups, charities or organisations to a value exceeding $864,000.
The support is focused on local charitable, amateur sport and community organisations who do not receive any government funding. Emphasis is placed on assisting people with disabilities, aged, people from non-English speaking backgrounds, women and young children.

Anzac Day 2018
The 2017 Anzac Service in Burwood Park was attended by a very large crowd. Burwood RSL Sub Branch and Club partnered with Burwood Council to host the service where all the community were welcome. Due to the success of the service the 3 organisations have agreed to conduct the 2018 Service similarly to this years’ service.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and Staff, I wish all members a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Additionally, I extend thanks to all members for your continued support and contribution to ongoing success of the Club.
Kind regards,
Andrew Anderson
CEO
